Terms & Conditions– Kitchers Plumbing & Heating

These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of services by Kitchers Plumbing & Heating ("we", "us", "our") to the client ("you", "your"). By instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Scope of Work
We agree to carry out plumbing and heating services as requested by the client and as outlined in any quotation, estimate, or agreed scope of works.
Any additional work requested outside the original scope may be subject to additional charges.
3. Quotations and Estimates

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Estimates are provided as a guide only and may be subject to change based on actual work required.

We reserve the right to revise costs where unforeseen issues arise.
4. Access and Client Responsibilities
The client must:
-
Provide safe and reasonable access to the property
-
Ensure the working area is clear and suitable for the agreed work
-
Inform us of any known issues that may affect the work
We reserve the right to delay or suspend work where access or safety is compromised.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due on completion of the work and issue of the invoice, unless prior arrangements have been agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to request deposits or staged payments for larger works.
We accept payment via approved methods, including card payments processed securely through Stripe.
6. Late Payment
A late payment charge of 2% of the total invoice amount will be applied for every 30-day period that payment remains outstanding.
We reserve the right to:

Suspend ongoing or future work
-
Recover any reasonable costs incurred in collecting overdue payments
7. Completion of Work
Work will be deemed complete when:

The agreed scope has been fulfilled, and
-
The system or installation is left in a safe and operational condition
Minor outstanding items that do not affect functionality shall not delay payment.
8. Warranty and Guarantee
All completed work is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion, covering:

Workmanship
-
Materials supplied by us
This guarantee does not cover:
-
Faults arising from misuse, neglect, or unauthorised alterations

Issues caused by pre-existing systems or components not installed by us
-
General wear and tear
9. Materials
Where materials are supplied by us, they remain our property until paid for in full.
We are not responsible for the performance or suitability of materials supplied by the client.
10. Cancellations

Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice.

We reserve the right to charge for time, materials, or losses incurred where cancellations are made at short notice.
11. Liability
We will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses
-
Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the work carried out
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Delays
We shall not be held responsible for delays caused by:

Factors beyond our control
-
Material shortages
-
Weather conditions
-
Third-party delays
13. Acceptance of Terms
By instructing us to carry out work, or by settling any invoice issued, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
